We use Wyse P45 zero clients with Tera2 firmware rather than ThinOS, so this may not directly compare, but I have found issues when moving between firmwares which need interim versions. For example, when moving up from Tera2 firmware 4.8.1 to 5.2.1, we had to do an interim step to 5.0.2 first otherwise it wouldn't recognise the newer version.
